Support Hurricane Harvey Relief

Macbrained is first and foremost a community. The devastation the Southern Texas and Louisiana communities (including many of our fellow MacAdmins) are facing from hurricane #Harvey is unprecedented and beyond tragic. As a community, we can testify to the strength of coming together for a greater good. In an effort to help support our fellow communities, below is a list of a few of the charities providing the much needed and ongoing relief efforts in the areas. Nonprofit groups say in this case that they’re also preparing for an extremely long recovery, and that the needs almost certainly will change over time. Every organization uses donations they receive differently; when you choose a charity to support, read their mission statement or visit their website to understand how gifts to them will be used. These charities in particular are partnering with local groups on the ground in the affected cities. You may make an even greater impact with your support by taking advantage of your employer’s matching gift program. Through these programs, donations made can be doubled or even tripled.
